Wexford Festival Opera has been nurtured by the people of Wexford, and generations of artists over five decades, to become one of the world’s truly remarkable Festivals. The dedication to rare work and the distinctive atmosphere of its location in the heart of Wexford town in South East Ireland, has earned the Festival a unique place in the cultural life of Ireland and in the world of Opera and the Arts Internationally.

After a multi-million Euro investment by the state and the private sector, the purpose- built new Wexford Opera House opens in 2008. It would not be possible to sustain the work of Wexford Festival Opera House or the construction of Wexford Opera House without the help of our supporters. To achieve this level of activity Wexford Festival Opera relies on a combination of box office income, public funding from the Arts Council and vital partnerships with the private sector – Individual donors, patrons, business sponsors , legacies, trusts and foundations. 

The Business Development department at Wexford Festival Opera works to develop particular, supportive relationships and to maximise the entire organisation’s potential to attract particular funding partnerships.
